WOMEN X WOMEN was created in a post COVID-19 world. Facebook wanted to highlight how despite the challenges of the pandemic, women were finding each other, collaborating, and creating progress and paths forward for generations to come.
We tapped into an all-female production team, created a custom bracelet that supported independent female artisans in 10 countries, invited female creators who had never met before to collaborate on bespoke content, and commissioned poet Glynn Pogue to write a poem dedicated to the women in her life who empower her.
The campaign brought together women of all ages, backgrounds and ethnicities to connect and build community. And even the women in our audience contributed to the campaign, by crowdsourcing inspiration for song lyrics and sharing moving stories in hivemind interviews.
